Junior Artist Position
Totally Games, Lawrence Holland’s company of X-Wing fame, is accepting resumes from talented, seasoned videogame professional for a full-time "Junior Artist" position potentially working on multiple platforms in several new game directions. Totally Games has been in the industry for more than 20 years, working with major publishers such as LucasArts, Activision, Disney and Sega. We’re seeking sharp, dedicated, visionary contributors to join our outstanding team.
Under the direct supervision of senior staff the "Junior Artist" will assist with creating design concepts and designing and developing computer graphics for electronic entertainment company. Utilizing latest and specialized computer software (E.g., Autodesk, 3DMax, Maya, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) and previous game engine experience; conduct research for suitable design images and artwork; prepare illustrations or rough sketches to discuss with supervisors and other collaborators; create textures and mapping sources; clean up mesh; rig, skin and embellish graphics; follow strict guidelines; no supervisory or managerial duties are involved.
Working Conditions:
Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping in the performance of daily office activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement, and fine coordination in preparing statistical reports and data, using a computer keyboard. Additionally, the position requires near and far vision in reading plans, reports and using the computer. The incumbent also must be available to be called for local emergencies, work irregular or extended hours, and work with constant interruptions.
Due to the immediate nature of this position and current government employment-visa-sponsorship restrictions, we are unable to consider foreign candidates UNLESS they have an advanced degree from a US accredited university / college OR are able to work in the US on a contract basis as an independent consultant.
